Cross

An old English name for someone living near a stone cross or someone living near a crossroads.

Generation 1

  Daniel Cross 1  b. abt. 1783 in VT  maybe?  He married Achsah Morse before 1815.  Achsah Morse was born 22 Jan 1786 in NH/VT.   Note:  Achsah was married before to Benjamin Cuthbert July 1805 in Leicester, VT.  They had  four children from that union Almira b. 23 Aug 1805, Louisa b. abt. 1807 in MN, Belinda b. abt. 1809 in MN? and Royal  Cuthbert b. 1812/1813 in VT.

Children of Daniel and Achsah (Morse) Cross:

  1. Horace Cross b. abt. 1815 in VT.  He married Marilla Strong  20 Feb 1839  in Lake Co., Indiana.  He died between 1860-1865.

  2. Fidelia Cross b. abt. 1817 in VT.

  3. Sally Ann Cross b. abt. 1819 in VT.

  4. Susan Cross b. abt. 1821 in VT.

  5. Abby Cross b. abt. 1823 in VT.

  6. Alma Cross b. abt. 1825 in VT.

  7. Daniel Cross b. abt. 1827 in VT.

 

Genertation 2

  Alma Cross 2 ( Daniel1)  b. abt. 1825 in VT married Daniel Herbert Strong 2 16 Jan 1845 in Lake Co., Indiana.
